Arturo LaCruz

Originally from Lima, Peru, Arturo LaCruz has over 20 years of experience in music, sound and technology as a musician, producer, composer, and sound engineer for multiple production domains. He has provided music, post-production and AV design services to many clients, including Bad Boy Records, Donny Osmond, Disney on Ice, Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey, and his own LaCruz Media Productions. Before specializing in AVL business development in the Alabama and Georgia region (recently for www.MediaMerge.com), he was department head of several sound, music, media and AVL programs and ministries in churches and other facilities. He is also an AV designer consultant, and recording studio specialist.
He is currently the Founding Director of the Recording and Music Institute at CDA, and recently main producer of The Music Refuge Studios, a non-profit music production outfit of the Project American Life, both in Birmingham, AL. He has also worked as sound designer and consultant for two full feature movies, and recent promotional videos and small documentaries. He was recently featured as the Recording Studio Consultant in the new Hollywood remodeling show Fix it an Finish It. He is also a music coach and Worship instructor, and has taught music production seminars and college level Worship Theology, both in the USA and Latin America.
He studied professional architecture and design in his native country of Peru. Composition & Arranging studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, holds a BA in Music (Voice) from University of Massachusetts at Boston (specializing in Ethnomusicology and Impressionist Tonal Development). He holds Graduate Music Studies and an MTS and an M.Div in Early Western Thought, Spiritual Development, Mentorship and the Arts, from Samford University and Beeson Divinity School. He is an active music producer and performs in music festivals and 'live music venues’. He can be seen as an extra in recent indie films and the first season of the NBC series 'Constantine'.
